Having been brought up in sunny Kenya, Rachna dreamt of studying and settling in the UK. With tremendous support from her family, she successfully graduated in dentistry from the University of Bristol in 2006. Since then, she moved to north London where she still resides with her family and has worked in several practices spreading from Oxford to Highgate.

In 2017, she decided to embark upon a four-year MSc in Restorative dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. After lots of tears, sleepless nights and of course covid, she finally graduated in 2022 with a distinction.

Rachna perseveres with her interest in restorative dentistry and would like to build on her background in tooth wear and cosmetic dentistry, with particular expertise in treatments such as Teeth whitening. She also has a keen interest in Invisalign and enjoys providing this clear aligner system to her patients.

Rachna regularly attends courses to keep her skills up to date and collaborates with colleagues within the team to ensure her patients benefit from multi-disciplinary care. Her approach to treating patients is holistic with attention to detail and reassurance towards dentally anxious patients, using mindful techniques to put patients’ anxieties to rest.

Hard work, passion and honesty in her work are the qualities by which Rachna would like to further her career. She is hoping to be an integral part of the team Here at St Peter’s Lodge and win over the patients with her quick wit and relaxed nature.

Outside dentistry, Rachna is a die-hard Liverpool fan and lives in the constant hope that they will win the quadruple once in her lifetime. She spends her spare time spoiling her 3 nephews and a niece and enjoys a good gym workout doing yoga and weight training and hanging out with her friends.
